Biography of Lesley Robinson Lesley started her career in the public sector and her first corporate role was as a researcher and analyst with Bain and Company, an American boutique strategy consultancy. She then joined KPMG to set up an Information Service for the Strategy, Marketing and Economics Consultancy team. The service grew to a team of 4 people and began to serve the entire consultancy firm in the UK and across Europe. Lesley also set up and staffed a research service for the Corporate Finance division within KPMG London. After one year out to study for an MBA at Cranfield Business School UK, Lesley rejoined KPMG as a direct advisor to the UK Senior Partner, Lord Sharman, helping to implement a change programme. Presenting ideas at Board level, Lesley worked on projects such as developing new approaches for client relationship management, implementing a global peer review of KPMG's processes, carrying out a qualitative research study to assess the market position of the firm and implementing a communications plan to help deliver the firm's new strategy. Lesley then returned more directly to the information industry by joining TFPL, an information and knowledge services company, as Head of Recruitment. She also became a Principal Consultant responsible for building business in the Service industry Sector by providing information and knowledge management solutions. Her final industry role was with the Financial Times as Head of the Business Research Centre, providing a commercial information service to ft.com users and City organisations. In 1999, Lesley set up Lesley Robinson Consultancy Services Ltd.
